In 1883 the Cottage, originally constructed around 1861, had been repaired and renovated to house the Weir family’s tenant farmer and family, including 9 children. We have taken great care to make sure that it is equipped with all the comforts of home. Artists will find a comfortable living area with small library, bedroom with a full-size bed, full bath and fully equipped kitchen (full size fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, and all glasses and dinnerware). All linens (sheets/pillow cases, blanket and comforter, bath and kitchen towels) are included. Also provided are paper towels, toilet paper and bottled drinking water. The residence sits in the middle of the 60-acre Weir Farm NHS and is one of the park’s many historic structures.
